Ramesh Choudhary
Jaipur, Rajasthan
Ramesh learned traditional block printing techniques from his father at the age of ten. Today, he leads a workshop of 12 artisans who create textiles using hand-carved wooden blocks and natural dyes.
Each piece Ramesh creates takes several days to complete, with patterns that have been passed down through generations. He specializes in Bagru and Sanganer printing techniques.

Lakshmi comes from a long line of Ajrakh artisans, a craft that has been in her family for over six generations. She uses natural indigo dyes and traditional block printing methods to create intricate patterns on fabric.
Lakshmi's printing process is entirely done by hand, from preparing the dyes using local plants and minerals to stamping each pattern with precision and care. Her work preserves the ancient Ajrakh tradition.

Vijay is a master handloom weaver who has been working with traditional looms for over 25 years. He specializes in Maheshwari weaving, known for its distinctive borders and fine cotton-silk blend.
Using techniques that date back centuries, Vijay creates lightweight, breathable fabrics with geometric patterns and vibrant colors. Each piece takes several days to complete on his wooden handloom.
